"The grapes for this wine come from the eastern end of Livermore Valley. The Livermore Valley will produce stunning Cab Francs, and this vintage is no exception. While this varietal has been blended successfully into many of the Bordeaux chateaux, it is a stand alone varietal of significance.

It is a perfumed and delicate mistress to the heavier Cabernet Sauvignon. With the grace of this wine cellar aging will reward the patient collector.”

Tasting Notes (provided by PMW staff and ambassadors):

The color is clean and pretty; the first aromas are of black licorice, dark cherries, and plums. There is a freshness to the fruit which is fun and hints at cherry Starburst!

The wine is balanced through the mid-palate, and if wines were represented by instruments, this one would be a wind instrument.

The oak is not overplayed, and the structure is refined and mildly delicate as the fruit plays out through the finish hinting at cherry pie.

A delightful food wine.
