Winemaker’s Notes:

“This Petite Sirah represents our crown jewel varietal.

I began making Petite Sirah when I arrived in Livermore Valley and have been astonished by the vibrancy of the varietal, when all indications are that the grape is clunky.

This vineyard is very small with medium yields, small berries and classic Petite Sirah structure. The vineyard has been organically farmed for 14 years and is now in transition to Biodynamic.

The vineyard is maintained by myself and my production team, Cellar Master:Joe Bezio and Assistant Winemaker:Jack Guinchard. We touch every vine, this wine is our tribute to estate winemaking.

Tasting notes:

Deep ruby with dense color through the middle and dark red edges.

This wine has a classic, beautiful entry with characteristic earthiness and structure driven by fruit, hints of oak and classic Petite Sirah meatiness and smoke.

It has a wonderful backbone of earth and dark fruit, with floral notes and a medium oak presence that frames the dense center of the wine. The finish is relatively long with lingering medium tannins spiced up by the meaty and smokey character that over lays the subdued pepper-corn(typically more present than this vintage).

This wine will age beautifully, becoming a classic over time.
